Cross-border strategyAnd the work of getting it done
International business consulting for national and cross-border transactions. The Americas, and Asia — from a startup to a company that already operates in more than one country.
Supernova is an international business consultancy, oriented to national and cross-border transactions. The core is international law, business, and commercialization: how a company actually closes, sells, and operates in another country, with local counsel in each jurisdiction.
The same question looks different at each stage of the company. A startup, an entrepreneur raising capital, a company that already operates internationally, and an investor looking at the transaction do not need the same work. We cover state-of-the-art technology and we cover traditional business models.
What we work on
The work sits at international law, business, and commercialization, around these lines:
Strategy and institutional design
International law, with local counsel
Business and commercialization
Manufacturing and traditional industry
Services and operating companies
Technology and innovation
National and cross-border transactions
Strategic network and counterparts
One firm, many jurisdictions
The United States, Mexico, Latin America, and Asia. National work and cross-border work are not the same problem, and the same company does not enter those markets the same way. Strategy, commercialization, and the legal path have to be designed for that jurisdiction. We keep a strategic network in each one, and we sit with local counsel when the question is legal.
How we work
01
Strategic diagnosis
What the company is trying to do, at what stage, in which country, and what would have to be true for that to hold. A startup and an operating company do not need the same thing, so we start with the decision, not with a slide deck.
02
Market and institutional map
Who operates, who buys, who authorizes, and how work actually moves in that jurisdiction. The map is commercial and institutional, not only a list of buyers.
03
Compliance path
What has to be in order before the operation can stand. We coordinate local legal advisors in that jurisdiction. The legal opinion is theirs; the consulting mandate is ours.
04
Design of the solution
The structure, the counterpart, and the operating model. Strategy that a plant, a service company, or a technology program can actually execute — whether the business is state of the art or a traditional model, not a plan that only works on paper.
05
The network
A strategic network of counterparts, operators, and advisors in each market. We do not invent a local presence for every engagement. We activate the one that already knows that country.
06
Implementation
We stay through execution. A strategy that never reaches the ground is still a document. The work ends when the operation is standing or the reason it should not proceed is clear.
Industries we work in
From a manufacturing line to a service company or a technology program; from a startup to an enterprise that already operates across countries. The industry and the stage change; the problem is usually the same: how this business is commercialized in that country.
